Bandleader Kevin Small has hundreds of reasons to be smiling.

He pulled off the top position once again with his band Fifth Element Mas in Saturday’s Junior Kadooment in association with Consolidated Finance Co. Ltd at Kensington Oval.

His band with the theme Virtual Reality, was announced as Best Junior Band For 2018.

This makes it the band’s fourth title since inception. They previously won in 2014, 2016 as well as last year.

Small said it was a very overwhelming feeling.

“It’s even greater than the win. For us, we have been dealing with a lot of reviews from parents telling us about the experience and how it was for their children. We tried hard to satisfy all their needs because first and foremost our masqueraders’ happiness is of utmost importance,” he said.

Second place went to veteran bandleader Gwyneth Squires and her band Los Barbados – The People Who Came.

Third place went to Trevor Nicholls’ Young Spirits Community Group under the theme Mystical Angels In Fantasy. (DB)
